Las Huertas by Lafite Cabernet Sauvignon
Chateau Lafite Rothschild of Pauillac, in Bordeaux, France, has ventured into other grape growing regions around the world. One of these places is Chile, namely the Colchagua Valley. The Colchagua Valley is an excellent viticultural area in Chile, noted for great Cabernets. Enter Lafite and their skill and knowledge in making Cabernet and you have a wine that can't help but turn out great. The wine is 100% Cabernet and is selected for the freshness of its fruit and fruit quality, fresh aromas and has a taste that is like biting into the grape itself.
The people of Lafite know the wine business well, and while they sell all the Lafite Rothschild they can make at around $1000 per bottle (in recent vintages), they are aware that only a few can afford this kind of extravagance. The Las Huertas is priced a little more down to earth, making it a great buy, even with its fancy pedigree.
